It's been a busy summer for the Pyramid team! Mitzi and Bradley revived Buried Treasure on the walls of ARTpool in June, combining key images from this narrative project with a new story display. Originally shown in 2006 at Gina Vivinetto's Bombshell Gallery, the collaborative piece includes Mitzi's short story (published in Creative Loafing under pen name Joey Stone) and Bradley's black-and-white composite photographs (an early foray into techniques that have blossomed in his work).

In August, the team began a series of shoots for acclaimed local fashion designer Ben Chmura. These images, illustrating his Azteca summer collection, draw on thematic imagery from both the organic distant past and the sterile far-off future. See examples HERE.

The team is now preparing to talk with representatives from the Salvador Dali Museum in hopes of creating a freelance partnership. Meanwhile, several custom portrait jobs have kept the studio lights popping. On September 3, 2008, Pyramid will celebrate their one-year anniversary of being in business. A reception is planned at the Tampa Artist Emporium, to include a special guest list of Pyramid's clients, colleagues and artist friends. Doors are also open to the public for a small donation, so come by and share a toast.
